Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Tallen is a group home for former addicts with cognitive impairments and mental illness. Seven residents live at Tallen, two of whom live in satellite apartments. We are now looking for a new employee to join our team! Your work tasks You are part of a team that provides support to users in everyday life. We work with the evidence-based methods ESL and MI. The users have decisions according to the Support and Service Act (LSS) and live in special housing. The work involves supporting and helping the individual, increasing understanding and awareness of their needs and support to be involved in various social contexts. The aim is to create good conditions for adults with the above problems to get a functioning housing, employment, health and leisure. The aim of the activities is that the users, with our support, should be able to live as independent a life as possible. You provide psychosocial support, help with household chores, care contacts, personal hygiene and medication management. You accompany them on activities that take place outside the facility. In the workplace, there may be smoking, furry animals, heavy lifting, threats and violence. Scheduled working hours day/evening and weekends. You will be expected to be able to co-plan with other activities as needed. About you You are a solution-oriented and stable team player. You have a positive outlook and a strong commitment to people. You are a structured person who works towards goals in implementation plans and their documentation. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and a professional approach. Requirements: We are looking for you who are a trained nurse, social worker or have another education that the employer considers equivalent We want you to have experience of working in disability care and/or in elderly care Meritorious: Experience of low-effective behavior (LAB) in connection with threat and violence situations Experience with the ESL (Independent Living) method Experience with the MI method (Motivational Interviewing) Your application To ensure that the people invited to interview are those who best match what we are looking for, we use selection questions.
