Are you the one? In Umeå municipality, there are currently six short-term homes under the Support and Service Act (LSS) for children and young people.
At our short-term homes, children and young people are supported to become as independent as possible based on their individual circumstances.
Sveagatan is a business that provides short-term accommodation for young people under the LSS. The purpose of the program is to be able to relieve relatives while the person gets a change of environment and an opportunity to develop their independence.
We are now looking for a support assistant!
Your work tasks
The assignment includes working together with other staff based on our business goal, to strengthen the ability to live an independent life. Your task will be to work with your colleagues to ensure that the young people who stay at the short-term residence have a safe and meaningful stay.
You will participate in the young people's activities such as sports events, walks, cultural events, crafts and games. The work includes the usual household chores such as cooking, cleaning and washing dishes. You will also document and draw up implementation plans. Contact and cooperation with parents is an important and large part of the work.
About you
We are looking for you who are a trained assistant nurse or social worker, or alternatively have completed health and social care training. If you are a trained teacher, support educator or care assistant, it is an advantage for the service. We also see that you have experience of working with children and young people with disabilities.
You have good knowledge of documentation and drawing up implementation plans. You have a good ability to cooperate and have a professional approach to users, relatives and other actors around our users.
We would like to see that you have training in alternative communication, low-effective treatment and clarifying pedagogy. Knowledge of assistive technology such as AAC, TAKK or similar is desirable as well as experience of children and young people with autism and challenging behavior.
Scheduled working hours day, evening, weekend, on-call combination.

In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
