Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. In September, we will open a new special housing with a focus on intellectual disabilities at Kullavägen 15 in Umeå We are now looking for committed employees who, together with us, want to take on the challenge of starting up and shaping the business. Are you one of them? Kullavägen is a group home according to LSS with a focus on intellectual disabilities. The business, which is a new construction, has 6 accommodation places. All users will live in their own fully equipped apartments and have access to a shared kitchen and living room. At present, 3 out of 6 users are ready and another 3 have received offers. The apartments will be occupied by users from internal moves within the operational area, from other municipalities and by people moving away from home for the first time. About 6-8 services, day, evening, weekend. The business will also be staffed at night and the awake night services are already filled. Kullavägen will be led by two unit managers, Jesper Vänman-Rova and Sandra Andersson, both with extensive experience of leading activities in the field of intellectual disabilities. The organization also intends to hire a support educator. Your tasks As a support assistant, you will work to support the residents practically in the home but also help to manage various social situations. Other tasks included are among others: cooking housekeeping personal care helping with transfers laundry social interaction supportive conversations educational support both with and without aids documentation in the medical record preparation and maintenance of implementation plans and, if necessary, other types of planning and action plans. We work together with our residents to increase their independence in the areas of housing, work, employment/school and leisure. Therefore, it is important that your approach is characterized by flexibility, continuity and security. You also offer individually tailored support based on the user's needs and work constantly to develop and strengthen the user's abilities, participation and influence. Together with the users, we work methodically, long-term and goal-oriented to create a safe home environment and a meaningful everyday life. Follow-up and evaluation of the work will be a natural part of the business. We place high demands on the ability to establish and maintain an agreed structure in the activities. Working hours are day, evening and weekend. Co-planning occurs between activities within the Disability Care special housing. About you You have a professional approach that includes humility, patience and flexibility. The work requires an ability to work independently, to take your own initiative. You also have a commitment and openness to development work both in your own workplace and in the entire field of activity. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and read care documentation and receive medication, you must have a good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Requirements * Nursing and care program, child and leisure program, social work program or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
