Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Humlevägen is a group home according to LSS which, after extensive renovation, will reopen at the turn of the year 2024/2025. Humlevägen has six beds. The business will be led by two unit managers with extensive experience in the area, both of whom are passionate about quality and work environment issues. We are now looking for you who, together with us, want to take on the challenge of starting up and shaping a new group home. Number of posts: Eight positions for day/evening/weekend. Two positions for awake night. Co-planning with other activities will take place. Your tasks You guide and support people with physical, mental and intellectual disabilities in their everyday lives. You work in a long-term and goal-oriented way to create a safe home environment and a meaningful everyday life for our users. Your approach is characterized by flexibility, continuity and security. You offer individual, social and practical support to make use of and develop the person's own abilities. The work at Humlevägen will include documentation, as well as following up and evaluating the work both individually and together with others. We place high demands on the ability to establish and maintain an agreed structure in the business. The work involves nursing work, heavy lifting, threats and violence and a lot of physical activity in the form of walking, cycling and swimming. About you We are looking for you who are a trained assistant nurse, social worker or have another education that the employer considers equivalent. We would like to see that you have experience in the field of intellectual disabilities and of low-effective treatment. Experience of educational work with visual aids and signs as support is an advantage. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. You have a good ability to cooperate and have a professional approach to users, relatives and other actors. You are committed and have a willingness to share our values and work towards set goals and continuous improvements. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
