Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction.
In September, we will open three new special homes in Umeå and are now looking for committed employees who want to join us in the challenge of starting up and shaping those activities.
Kullavägen is a group home according to LSS with a focus on intellectual disabilities. The business, which is a new construction, has six accommodation places, including a satellite apartment. All users will live in their own full-fledged apartments and have access to a shared kitchen and living room.
Approximately eight-ten services, day, evening, weekend.
The business will also be staffed at night and it will initially be awake night. Thereafter, it may be relevant to be on call according to Appendix J.
Kullavägen will be led by two unit managers, both with extensive work experience in the field of intellectual disabilities.
Himlastigen is a group home according to LSS with a focus on social psychiatric disabilities. The business, which is a new construction, has six beds. All users will live in their own fully equipped apartments and have access to a shared kitchen and living room.
About eight services, day, evening, weekend.
The business will also be staffed at night, but it has not yet been decided whether it will be in the form of day care according to Appendix J or awake night.
Himlastigen will be led by a unit manager with extensive experience of working with social psychiatric disabilities.
Skärvstensgatan is a service home according to LSS with a social psychiatric focus. The business with its 12 apartments will be conducted in newly built multi-storey buildings in close proximity to each other.
Approximately eight services, day, evening, weekend and daytime according to Appendix J.
Skärvstensgatan will be led by a unit manager who has been responsible for other service homes for many years and who has extensive experience of working with social psychiatric disabilities.
Your tasks
You will support people with physical, mental and intellectual disabilities in their everyday lives. Your approach is characterized by flexibility, continuity and security. You offer individually tailored support based on the user's needs. You work constantly to develop and strengthen the user's abilities, participation and influence. You work methodically, long-term and goal-oriented to create a safe home environment and a meaningful everyday life together with our users.
The tasks also include various types of administration such as planning support, producing clarifying material, documentation, record keeping and drawing up implementation plans. Follow-up and evaluation of the work will be a natural part of the business. We place high demands on the ability to establish and maintain agreed structures in the activities.
The tasks may also include personal care and medication management. Co-planning occurs between activities within the Disability Care Special Housing.

About you
You have a good ability to cooperate and have a professional approach to users, relatives and other stakeholders. You are committed and have a willingness to share our values and work towards set goals and to work with continuous improvements. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and receive medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
Requirements
* Nursing and care program, child and leisure program, social work program or
other education that the employer considers equivalent.
Meritorious
* Experience of working in disability care / care and care
* Experience of working with people with mental illness
* Knowledge of or experience with flame-effective treatment
* Knowledge of or experience with clarifying pedagogy
* Experience of working with and training in lifting techniques
