Disability care in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction. Geografigränd is a service residence according to LSS with a focus on mental disabilities. The business consists of nine apartments gathered in the local area. In your work, you start from a shared apartment in which there is an office / emergency room and the opportunity to gather for joint activities. Individual support is mainly provided in the individual's apartment. We are now looking for two support staff for Geografigränd! Your work tasks You offer individual, social and practical support to enable and utilize the person's own abilities and thus create the conditions for independence. You work to make the individual involved in everyday chores such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, etc. As well as creating a meaningful leisure and/or employment. The work also includes contact with other actors in care, administrators and authorities. To create security and stability for those who live with us and make threat and violence situations manageable, it is important to follow routines and cooperate within the work group. Working hours are day, evening, weekend and sleeping shifts. Furry animals are present and smoking is allowed in the home. About you As a person, you are calm and confident and have good self-awareness. You work in a solution-focused way, follow routines and communicate easily with residents, colleagues and the manager. In order for you to be able to communicate with users, relatives and colleagues, write and take part in care documentation and obtain medication, it is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Requirements: Some years of experience working with people with mental and intellectual disabilities Some years of experience working with threats and violence Merits: Training as an assistant nurse, social worker or other training deemed equivalent by the employer Welcome with your application.
