Are you the one? Individual and family care (IFO) in Umeå municipality wants to be a resource that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life in proximity and interaction.
Family treatment provides support and interventions in various forms to children and young people aged 0-18 and their families, some interventions can be provided up to the age of 21. The operation works to implement various types of decisions granted assistance, such as family treatment, parental support and other interventions aimed at children and young people, individually and in groups. The work in the organization is conducted with the support of selected methods such as Cognitive Integrated Treatment at Risk of Child Abuse (KIBB), Parenting young children (PYC), Intensive home-based family treatment (IHF), Functional family therapy (FFT) and Crime as a lifestyle, among others.
Family treatment consists of a total of about 40 employees, divided into two unit managers where each manager is responsible for about half of the staff group and the business lines. Your tasks
You will lead a team of around 17 staff, where you will be responsible for staff, work environment, finances, quality, follow-up and development. Together with your managerial colleague, you are responsible for ensuring that the organization's goals are achieved, that granted needs that match the organization's efforts are implemented and that efforts to the organization's other target groups are carried out.
The focus of the business right now is to participate in the transition to the new Social Services Act, which will come into force in 2025, in collaboration with other provider activities within IFO and activities that exercise authority. You are expected to collaborate with your closest unit manager colleague in a shared leadership. Together, you have a common mission to develop the business with a focus on early interventions and continued development towards a knowledge-based social service, where interventions are offered based on the best available knowledge.
You are part of a management group with 8 other unit managers and the group is led by a deputy head of operations.
About you
We are looking for you who have a social worker degree or other equivalent education that is considered relevant by the employer.
We believe that you have experience as a manager. If you have not worked as a manager with personnel responsibility, you need to have led/coordinated colleagues in processes/change work in another way. You need to have experience of working in the social services' provider activities/outpatient care and/or exercise of authority.
We also believe that you have experience of collaboration between authorities and enforcement within social services and of collaboration between different agencies and authorities internally and externally.
It is important that you as a unit manager have an employee and user focus. As a leader, you are close to the business, but the assignment also requires an ability to lift your gaze and see the big picture. We are looking for people with integrity who dare to challenge and develop themselves and their surroundings. You are open to change and have a solution-focused approach. The assignment requires good teamwork and collaboration with many different agencies internally and externally, which requires an ability to create and maintain good relationships. To succeed in the role, you need to be able to prioritize and plan even when the pace is high. You are unpretentious and have a good ability to handle conflicts and unforeseen events of a demanding nature in a good way and with high integrity.
