About the position
As a Parking Attendant with us at Upab, you work informatively, service-oriented and preventively by having a good dialogue with the municipality's residents and visitors. Most of the working day is spent outdoors in the meeting with people where you are the face outward and represent Upab in your interactions. You are central to Upab's operations as you ensure that parking rules are followed and that the traffic situation in Umeå is safe and well organized. You will inform and assist Umeå's citizens and visitors with questions about parking, work to monitor parking areas and street parking and ensure that parking rules are complied with. In your assignment, you will transport yourself by electric car, walk and stand for large parts of the working day. Good physical fitness is therefore a prerequisite to thrive in the role. You are expected to have a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders, and you will work actively with other staff members to ensure that the organization's objectives are met.
Qualifications
- Basic secondary education
- B driving license
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Language skills beyond Swedish and English are an advantage
- Experience of service work or customer service is an advantage
- It is an advantage if you have previous education or experience of similar work and knowledge of working in a municipal company.
