Now we are recruiting an alarm technician for Storuman, Lycksele, Stornorrfors (Umeå), Norsjö or Tärnaby!

You will be part of a maintenance group based in Storuman, Lycksele and Stornorrfors. The group includes electricians, mechanics, storage technicians, team leaders and managers. We work with preventive maintenance and rebuilding projects at hydropower plants in the Ume River and Skellefte River.

As an alarm technician, your focus is alarm and security systems in our hydropower plants. For example, it is about burglary, passage and camera systems. You will be part of the electrician team and often co-plan your assignments with them. You will also be part of a national team of alarm technicians where you share overall plans, experiences and help each other on common issues.

Every year, renewals are made in our hydropower plants and in 2023 we presented four expansion projects in already existing power stations; Juktan, Harsprånget, Messaure and Porjus.In connection with all types of renewals, security, monitoring and access are significant issues. Here you as an alarm technician will have an important role.

Examples of your responsibilities and tasks:

  • Planning, preparation and responsibility for various projects, such as upgrades and new installations
  • Conduct new installations, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and service of intrusion, passage and camera systems
  • Analyze and report on errors or deficiencies, create messages in the maintenance system (SAP) and suggest improvements
  • Create and/or adapt instructions for users of the security systems
  • Participate in inspections
  • Collaborate and develop common working methods linked to the role of alarm technician at Vattenfall Vattenkraft.

Requirements specification

You have an education in electrical/electrical engineering and a broad technical interest.In addition, you have experience in the service and maintenance of alarm and security systems (intrusion, passage and camera systems). Experience in planning and implementing installations of new alarm and security systems is an advantage.

Safety in our workplaces is number one. You need to be an attentive, responsive and confident colleague who thrives on teamwork, but is also comfortable with independent work where you work proactively and take responsibility for your areas of responsibility.

You have good IT skills and speak and write Swedish and English. You have a B-driving license, travel in the service and overnight stays will be part of the work.
