Since 1980, our three production plants have delivered climate-smart electricity every day, all year round.

About 1,200 employees work at Forsmark today and we are part of the Vattenfall Group, which operates in a European labor market with opportunities for fantastic development for you as an employee. Our workplace is beautifully located along the beautiful Roslag coast.

About the role

Do you want to be involved in maintaining and developing our nuclear power plants, while contributing to Sweden's fossil-free electricity supply? Now you have the opportunity to do so!

We are looking for an Area Manager for the instrument maintenance group at Forsmark Power Group.

About the job

Your main tasks consist of proactively working with plant optimization in your area of reactor, turbine systems and diesels where analog technology is mixed with digital. You participate in the operational work together with the others in the group and have an area responsibility for either diesels, reactor, or turbine systems. You will participate in troubleshooting efforts and evaluate performed maintenance measures. The role also includes participating in renewal work where our responsibility is to participate in projects where we also perform the testing after completed assembly.

We offer a varied and fun work where you work both independently and together with other colleagues from the Maintenance, Production and Technology departments. As we often work on commissioned equipment, it will give you a good understanding of the process but it requires you to be focused and quality conscious.

We are a relatively newly created group which gives you the opportunity to be involved from the beginning in shaping the way of working. We will focus more on planning, analysis and documentation, which is crucial to ensure that our processes and systems work optimally.

On-call duty is included in the service and becomes relevant when a certain level of experience is achieved. B-driving license is therefore a requirement.

Examples of tasks:

  • Participate in project work in plant renewal and be the contact person in the area of responsibility
  • Create instructions, reports, development of test programs and assignment specifications in the area of responsibility
  • Contact with various suppliers
  • Participate in analysis work and produce documentation for any repairs

Requirements specification

We are looking for you who have at least an upper secondary education in the field of technology. If you have a higher education or work experience from the process industry in instrument maintenance, electronics or measurement and control technology, it is considered an advantage. Experience of ABB/Siemens automation systems is also meritorious.

To succeed in the role, you should have a genuine interest in technology and like to learn new things. You need to have good analytical skills to be able to analyze and evaluate maintenance actions and participate in troubleshooting efforts. You'll find it easy to connect, nurture your relationships and work with other people. In addition to having a good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, you also need to be able to read and understand technical English. As the work often takes place on commissioned equipment, it is important that you are careful, quality-conscious and can stay focused during the work. You should also have experience or interest in documenting your work in a good way, including drawing up instructions, reports and test programs.
