Vattenfall Consumer Sales Nordic is responsible for marketing and sales of electricity contracts for households and small businesses in the Nordic region. We are part of BA Customers & Solutions which also includes District Heating, E-Mobility and decentralized energy solutions like solar panels. Our organization has an agile way of working and consists of several cross-functional business teams and a number of specialized teams working closely with them.


About the role

We are now looking for a Business Demand Expert for Vattenfall Consumer Sales Nordic!

As a Business Demand Expert, you will mainly work with balancing and translating the needs of the business into clear requirements in the IT area. You will be responsible for driving the work in relation to our digitalization goals and ensure that we build a profitable and efficient business with the help of IT and digitalization work. You will work in one of our agile teams that focuses on leading and driving large IT projects that span the entire business.

In your role, you will act as a bridge between business and IT by building strong relationships with various stakeholders, such as product owners, IT architects and developers. You see the big picture, while having a deep understanding of systems and processes, how they interrelate and impact each other.

A selection of tasks is to:

  • Drive and lead major initiatives and development projects with the goal of ensuring that the delivery supports business needs and strategic direction
  • Establish and lead cross-functional project teams with specialists and relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure that there is a holistic view of the IT landscape that is future-proof and meets our short and long-term needs in an efficient way (both from a functional and cost-effective point of view).
  • Support the business by continuously acting as an expert on IT-related issues and exploring how to benefit from new technologies, such as AI and RPA.
  • Actively participate in the development of our IT strategy, focusing on how the business strategy affects the IT landscape and what technical capabilities will be needed to meet future challenges and needs
  • Work closely with our security and IT organization to ensure a high level of information and IT security and compliance (e.g. GDPR).


Requirements

We are looking for you who have:

  • Good ability to drive and lead development initiatives regarding complex IT solutions based on business needs, for example through experience from roles as project manager, product owner or business architect.
  • Deep experience in defining complex IT requirements and evaluating different technical choices in a business context
  • Deep understanding of business and IT architecture, including process, information and system perspectives
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, in speech and writing

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • An academic degree in IT or business architecture or equivalent work experience
  • Experience from the electricity and energy industry
  • Experience working in a large company or other complex business
  • Understanding and experience of agile methods and working methods

As a person, you have a good ability to handle and balance many interfaces and conflicting wishes from different stakeholders in the business and in the IT organization in order to create lasting results. You also have a genuine interest in understanding business needs and challenges, which is a key success factor for making decisions that support the business in both the short and long term. With an ever-increasing pace of change in the outside world in general and in the electricity and energy industry in particular, it is particularly important to thrive with changing conditions and needs.
