About the role

Vattenfall has a clear strategy to be a fossil-free society and a leader in the green transition and we are proud to play an important role in meeting the increased demand for fossil-free electricity generation. In order to do so, we see that all fossil-free power sources will be needed, which is why we have now established a program to create analyses of the conditions for establishing new nuclear power.

As part of this, Vattenfall has created a new staff unit - New Nuclear (GX) - within the Power Generation Business Area, which is responsible for the development of new nuclear power. At the same time, work continues to investigate the possibilities for new nuclear power on the Värö Peninsula in Halland, with the goal of having a plant in operation by the first half of the 2030s at the earliest.

About the position

Do you want to be part of creating the energy solutions of the future? In the role of Business Developer you can do just that by being central in identifying and driving business opportunities and managing stakeholder issues in new nuclear power. Your main responsibilities include:

• Stakeholder management: Building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally to ensure successful collaboration.
• Leading and participating in projects: Coordinating, leading or participating in investigations and initiatives that are critical to the development of the business.
• Representing BA Generation: Participating in forums and steering groups that focus on the business's priority areas and ensuring that the interests of the business unit are taken into account.
• Analysis and drive: Analyze, evaluate and be responsible for driving forward in the above areas to ensure optimal solutions.
• Holistic perspective: Contribute with a holistic approach to find efficient and sustainable solutions.

You will work in a team with competent and committed colleagues, and the role offers great opportunities to influence both within Vattenfall and externally. The work has an international focus and offers many contact surfaces that can contribute to your professional development.

Requirements

We are looking for a committed business developer who thrives when things happen and when you get to be involved in creating progress. You have a strategic approach and consider the long-term impact and importance of issues in your work. You can quickly absorb important information, weigh up different interests, and formulate balanced recommendations that are in Vattenfall's best interest. You are also curious about how others have dealt with similar challenges and learn from their experiences. In addition to this, you also need to have good networking and collaboration skills. You are good at creating and maintaining strong networks, both internally and externally. You are comfortable handling multiple tasks simultaneously and can quickly switch between the big picture and the details.

To apply for this role, you also need to have a degree in engineering, business administration or equivalent, and be fluent in spoken and written Swedish and English. In addition, you need to have good technical and organizational skills, which means that you have experience of working with various IT systems and tools for analysis, forecasting, planning and follow-up. You are used to working in a structured way and have a strong ability to organize and prioritize tasks.

Finally, as an applicant, you need to have a B driving license and be prepared to travel in the service.
