About the job

As a buyer with us, you will be involved in calling off and procuring materials. Call-offs also include carrying out delivery monitoring to ensure that ordered materials are delivered as agreed with the supplier. In procurements, you drive the entire process, from start to finish, which includes analysis of the supplier market, tender documents, negotiation and finally conclusion with signing. Responsibilities also include managing existing contracts and ensuring that they are renewed or terminated. Since much of the material we order is stored, article management and register maintenance are also included in the tasks, where we work in the SAP business system. Within the purchasing unit, business development work is continuously carried out, which is why you will also contribute to the development of the procurement process.

You will work in close collaboration with your colleagues at both Forsmark and Ringhals as we are a joint unit, at present the unit consists of about 35 employees evenly distributed between Forsmark and Ringhals and with a mix of women and men. The purchasing group in Forsmark is characterized by strong cooperation, where there is almost always time for questions between colleagues. There is a good atmosphere within the group, with a welcoming atmosphere.

You will represent mainly Forsmark but also Ringhals and by extension also Vattenfall in various types of business relationships, your contact areas internally outside the purchasing unit will mainly be aimed at ordering units within Forsmark and Ringhals. Externally, the contact areas will mainly be towards our suppliers. The work includes travel, partly at meetings with suppliers, partly between Vattenfall's sites Forsmark and Ringhals.


Requirements

We want you to have

  • good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing and good knowledge of English in speech and writing
  • completed upper secondary education

It is meritorious if you have experience of

  • purchasing/procurement
  • training in purchasing/logistics
  • negotiation
  • writing commercial agreements
  • procurement
  • working in SAP

The work largely involves communication and negotiations with external suppliers, which means that it is important that you are businesslike, communicative and act based on Vattenfall's Code of Conduct. You are driven and committed to building and maintaining relationships with internal ordering units and external suppliers. You are self-motivated, structured and passionate about a cost-effective purchasing process.
