In Sweden, Vattenfall Värme supplies district heating, district cooling and steam to industries, property owners and residential customers in fifteen municipalities. We supply sustainable heating to around 200,000 Swedish households and heating, cooling and steam to industrial customers. About the role


Are you passionate about working with work environment issues and want to join us on the journey towards a fossil-free future?Vattenfall Värme Sverige conducts active and long-term environmental work to create a sustainable and developable district heating business with a great social responsibility and low environmental impact. We are now looking for a coordinatingCentral Work Environment Specialist.

As an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, you will support other occupational health and safety engineers and line managers in occupational health and safety work and work to strengthen the safety culture. You will be responsible for our overall health and safety processes and reporting. You will thus contribute to the energy transition and the circular society with competitive district heating and a world-class work environment.

You will be part of a team consisting of several specialists in both environment and work environment. We have an integrated management system certified in accordance with the ISO standards for environment and work environment (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001).

In your role, you will have the following main tasks:

  • Be responsible for our OHS roadmap.
  • Lead the development of instructions and overall governance in the field of occupational health and safety.
  • Inform, communicate and train Värme Sverige and other interfaces for compliance in the work environment area.
  • Report and analyze statistics and actively propose improvements based on our strategic goals.
  • Drive development/change work of culture, processes and tools in the work environment.
  • Supporting managers and operations with legal monitoring and compliance control.
  • Expert support in contacts with authorities and participating in inspection visits.
  • Support in procurement regarding requirements and review in the field of work environment.
  • Participating in external and leading internal audits.



Requirements specification


To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

  • Academic education or equivalent relevant education with a work environment focus, or a few years of work experience in systematic work environment work or equivalent, preferably with both a strategic and operational focus.
  • Good knowledge of ISO 45001, preferably also ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
  • Experience of risk analysis and root cause investigations.
  • Thorough knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Preferably worked in a process industry.

As a person,we would like to see that you are self-driven, structured and have good planning skills. As you will have several different contact areas, we assume that you enjoy working with others. We are looking for you who are communicative with the ability to inspire others with your commitment to work environment issues. You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing both in Swedish and English.
