The technical departments consist of about 170 dedicated engineers who work with all existing assignments in the control system. Geographically, we are located in several locations throughout Sweden and work together as a tight team remotely. We are responsible for maintenance testing, troubleshooting and commissioning both in projects and maintenance agreements. Travel occurs as a natural part of the service as the work is carried out in our customers' facilities. Opportunities for collaboration and development are very good in the Technology business area with experienced engineers all over the country.

Our customers are in energy and network companies, industries, infrastructure companies, real estate companies and construction companies.

The position means that you primarily work with commissioning of our larger projects, but assignments in smaller projects and maintenance may also occur. The testing before commissioning includes all kinds of control equipment such as relay protection, RTUs, automatics, local power and more. The focus will be on larger station projects at voltage levels 130kV and 400kV. The role includes being responsible for, and coordinating the testing when there are several engineers working on the same project. Within the framework of the projects, you report to the project manager. You have the technical responsibility and the project manager the commercial responsibility.

Examples of tasks/responsibilities that will be included in the position:

  • Review of drawing documents, such as single line diagrams, relay block diagrams, circuit diagrams, etc.
  • Configuration of relay protection, including configuration of communication via for example IEC61850
  • Ensuring technical functioning and contract compliance
  • Establishment of test plans.
  • Coordination of test work when there are several engineers on site
  • Compilation of test protocols.
  • Responsible for communication regarding technical issues with project managers.
  • Mentoring junior staff members.



Requirements specification


We are looking for you who are analytical and who like to solve complex problems, for you nothing is impossible! You are very well versed in the field and willing to share your knowledge with your colleagues. Taking on a task and seeing it through to the end together with the project team is second nature to you. You enjoy working both with technology and with people.

As the work involves complex issues, we also want you to be structured in your approach.

We know that you will develop together with us. But we would like to see that you already have:

  • Many years of experience in commissioning control systems for substations or hydropower stations
  • Experience in configuring relay protection
  • Competence in communication via IEC61850
  • A post-secondary education in electrical power or equivalent work experience in electrical power.
  • Good IT and computer skills
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • B-driving license is a requirement
  • Meritorious is:
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience of being a mentor to junior engineers
