About the role

Do you want to contribute to Sweden's energy transition? Do you have experience of power systems and a deep technical understanding of electricity networks? Vattenfall Eldistribution is looking for a Connection Manager with specialist expertise in these areas.

The Support & Quality Control department currently has fourteen employees who support the rest of Grid Connections with routines, training, statistics, forecasts, contracts, contractor follow-up, application regulations, etc. The department consists of smaller groups where the Connection Manager group today consists of three people.


About the role

As a Connection Manager at Vattenfall Eldistribution, you will mainly lead and coordinate Vattenfall's work with customer-initiated projects to connect customer facilities between 1-36 kV to our electricity network. We are looking for you who have a solid experience and understanding of the connection process as well as deeper technical knowledge in the area to be able to support our existing administrators who are in the unit today.


Your main tasks will consist of:

  • Connection of customer facilities 1-36 kV
  • Management of both new connections and rebuilds of low and medium voltage facilities.
  • Technical project management and advice in connection projects.
  • Working, updating and training on our application rules.
  • Interpreting and following up contracts linked to connection work.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, grid companies and contractors.

Requirements

We are looking for you who have:

  • Relevant engineering education and good knowledge in the electrical power/distribution field
  • Experience with IBH 21/24 - with particular understanding of medium voltage connection guidelines is desirable.
  • Experience of EBR, ESA and IKN.
  • Previous work with connections or similar tasks at a grid company, or practical experience in the field.
  • Deep technical understanding of connection processes and work with medium voltage installations.
  • Good knowledge of how to build and interpret single line diagrams.
  • B driving license is a requirement as travel occurs in the service.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Legal background or experience of interpreting and understanding agreements.
  • Experience of permit processes and contract negotiations is a plus.
