Do you want to be an important part of the energy transition? Vattenfall Services is Sweden's leading contracting company in the energy and power sector and develops Sweden's energy infrastructure! With us, you work in a future industry with a strong focus on a sustainable future. We need more energy heroes and now we are looking for a construction manager for large projects who wants to join the journey towards a fossil-free life! Is this you? Together we make a difference, for the whole society.

The departments Project Engineers North & South consist of about 50 committed Engineers in Electrical Design, Automation and Mechanical Design. We are responsible for the development of designs for control facilities for substations and hydropower stations. Travel may occur in the service to visit the stations. Our department is part of the Technology business area where over 170 engineers work throughout Sweden, this means that we offer good opportunities for collaboration and development for our engineers.

The position means that you lead our electrical designers who develop electrical designs for large station projects such as transformer stations and hydropower stations. This involves the construction of control systems, local power and relay protection etc. The work concerns large station projects of 130 kV or 400 kV. You will have one or more designers in your project team, whom you will manage, discuss technical solutions with and review their work. You manage several projects in parallel. Within the projects, you report to the project manager. You have the technical responsibility and the project manager the commercial responsibility.

Our customers are in energy and grid companies, industries, infrastructure companies, real estate companies and construction companies.

Examples of tasks/responsibilities that will be included in the role:

  • Lead work regarding the preparation of complete electrical designs
  • Ensure technical function and contract compliance

We are looking for you who are analytical and who like to solve complex problems, for you nothing is impossible! You are very well versed in the field and eager to share your knowledge with your colleagues. Taking on a task and seeing it through to the end together with the design team is second nature to you. As the work involves complex issues, we also want you to be structured in your approach.

We know that you will develop with us. But we would like to see that you already have:

  • A post-secondary education in electrical power or equivalent work experience in electrical power.
