About the role

Vattenfall Eldistribution is in the middle of the energy transition and has a central role in the powerful electrification that is currently taking place at the societal level. The transition means greatly increased customer interactions where the Customer Information and Insights group's role is to translate external and market trends into business impact, analyze our customers and build forecasts to understand the growth rate. The group is also operationally responsible for information, where the processing of customer data and data quality are central issues.

We are now looking for a Data Analyst with an interest in establishing data-driven ways of working and analyzing and visualizing our data quality.

Job description

As a Data Analyst, you are part of a delivery that is responsible for ensuring that our customer information is handled according to current regulations (eg GDPR) and that our customer information maintains a high data quality. A particularly important focus area in this role is to improve our data quality, which is central to enabling accurate analyzes and a data-driven way of working.

In this role, you will work closely with the Information Steward for the area and together you will ensure that we work data-driven with data quality and actively prioritize and guide the business through relevant analyzes and visualizations. Through key performance indicators, we can assist with business cases to facilitate decision-making.

Access to high-quality and accurate data is becoming an increasingly important issue and is something that many within the company have a great need for. We have come a long way on our journey, but there is still more to do to ensure the highest quality data - an important task that this role aims to support.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Identify and prioritize development activities in close collaboration with the Information Steward
  • Continuously analyze data quality gaps and produce insights to facilitate decision making
  • Together with the Information Steward, present your work internally in management teams and other forums

Requirements specification

To be successful in the role, we look for you to have:

  • Some years of experience analyzing Big data, especially customer data, manipulating, data modeling and reporting results to stakeholders
  • Some years of experience building efficient and clear code to automate workflows, via Python, SQL or similar programming languages
  • Some years of work experience with visualization software such as Power BI
  • Ability to identify and fix data quality deficiencies in customer data
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good communication/presentation skills
  • Relevant academic degree
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, in both speech and writing

We see it as meritorious if you also have:

  • Knowledge and experience of working in accordance with GDPR requirements
  • Experience of working with data engineering tools and techniques such as ETL and data pipelines
  • Experience of requirements definition of, for example, customer data
