About the role

Vattenfall Eldistribution is in the middle of the energy transition and has a central role in the powerful electrification that is currently taking place at the societal level. The transition means greatly increased customer interactions where the role of the Customer Information and Insights group is to translate business and market trends into business impact, analyze our customers and build forecasts to understand the growth rate.

We are now looking for a Data Analyst with an interest in developing customer and market insights that provide guidance to the business and enable a sustainable future.

Job description

In the role of Data Analyst, you will work with analyzing large amounts of customer and measurement data and develop data that supports Vattenfall Electricity Distribution's strategic decisions. You will have the opportunity to work with business intelligence and analysis in the energy sector. The purpose of the work is to identify trends and driving forces among our customers that may have an impact on the development of the electricity network. Examples of analyses and forecasts that you will have the opportunity to work with include the development of various flexible resources such as solar cells and energy storage and customer trends such as energy communities.

Our work is in demand in more and more places within and outside the business, which together with a rapidly changing business environment, creates a need for new types of analysis and insights. Therefore, we work agile and are in the middle of a journey to a more data-driven way of working.

To reach out with the team's work, communication and relationship building are an important part, you will continuously need to present both externally and internally. In cases where there is a lack of data, you need to be able to be innovative, take the initiative and make assumptions where you should be able to make clear reasoning about these.

Requirements

To be successful in the role, we look for you to have:

  • Some years of experience in analyzing Big data, especially customer data, manipulating, data modeling and reporting results to stakeholders
  • Some years of experience in building efficient and clear code using Python, SQL or similar programming languages
  • Some years of working experience with visualization software such as Power BI
  • . Power BI
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Relevant academic degree
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

We see it as a merit if you also have:

  • Experience in insight work, forecasting work and/or the energy industry
  • Experience working agile in SCRUM teams or equivalent knowledge
  • Experience working with AI/ML
