We are looking for you who want to develop in the role of Development Engineer with us at the strategic maintenance at Ringhals.

About the job

The "Structural Integrity and Fuel Service" unit is responsible for the primary system and its components including fuel service.

The unit has three groups, of which "Primary System Strategic Maintenance" is the group responsible for testing and maintenance of the major components of the primary system, i.e. reactor vessel, steam generators and pressure retainers.

The group's work is largely regulated by the authorities' regulations and part of the tasks is to specify and clarify how maintenance and tests should be performed on the primary system components.

The group also develops, if necessary, mechanized tools and equipment for self-execution of repair and control efforts in a radiological environment.

Today the group consists of about 9 employees and 2 consultants.

Duties

The position involves a focus on preparation for and participation in periodic inspections, testing and maintenance activities. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be involved in the development and management of maintenance programs and to eventually lead the strategic effort to create and implement effective maintenance plans to care for our facilities.

Some of your tasks:

  • Procurement of testing and maintenance interventions
  • Qualification of testing systems and maintenance methods
  • Drive assignments from start to finish, incl. work management during execution
  • Develop and manage maintenance instructions
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies
  • Development and management of maintenance plans and programs
  • Drive and participate in cross-technical working groups
  • Collaborate with the unit's operational group and i.a. participate in operational work during theparticipate in operational work during audits, e.g. perform visual inspections of the internal parts of the reactor
  • Compile and report on maintenance and checks performed



Requirements specification


About you

We would like you to have a technical education at college or university level, such as a university engineer or civil engineer. We expect you to have worked for a few years on tasks relevant to this position. You are able to express yourself easily in both spoken and written Swedish and have a very good knowledge of English. The position also requires administrative experience as a large part of the job is documenting and writing reports. If you have a mechanical background and interest, it is meritorious.

As a person, you are responsible, with good analytical skills and a holistic approach. You find it easy to collaborate, but can also drive issues independently from idea to result. You are also keen to maintain good contacts both internally at Ringhals and externally.
