In the role of Head of Department, you will be responsible for a department consisting of 14 employees. The department consists of technicians, preparers and project managers. The staff is located in Arvidsjaur and Arjeplog but operates over a larger geography in the immediate area. In addition to your own department, you are also part of the management team for the Wiring North business area. Together we work to contribute to the continued growth and development of the entire business area.

As Head of Department, you have overall responsibility for the department's part in one of the business area's major service agreements of an electricity network. The responsibility includes contract knowledge and thus a delivery and performance responsibility. You will sit with the electricity network owner and conduct dialogues linked to the operational activities. The department works mainly with fault rectification, maintenance and projects. You are a daily support to your employees in both personnel matters but also in the daily activities regarding technical and operational issues.

As a department manager, you also work with the development of the department's employees and operations in a business environment where safety has the highest priority. The work is varied and you are expected to have close contact with customers, colleagues and employees.

Example of responsibilities and duties

  • Personnel and resource planning, keeping you and the department updated on services and safe working practices and working for the further development and follow-up of methods and our delivery.
  • Be a daily support in technical and operational matters towards the staff.
  • Responsible for forecasting, budget, performance and business monitoring and analysis of the business with the support of a project controller.
  • Customer contacts and development of existing and new business.
  • Be involved in procurement, tender and contract management.
  • Active participation in the management team and develop and enable good cooperation within the Wiring North business area.

Requirements specification

We are looking for you who contribute with responsiveness, openness and a strong focus on work environment and safety. You are committed to day-to-day operations and want to support your colleagues in technical and operational matters. You are a self-starter and communicator with a strong intrinsic motivation to support the development of the business, the people within it and our business.

Your background

  • Experience in electrical power, power supply and power systems
  • Experience working as a leader, preferably in a role with personnel responsibility
  • A minimum of a completed upper secondary education, preferably higher studies and in a relevant field
  • We would like you to have experience of customer and supplier relations, financial follow-up and contract management
  • Experience of the construction industry is an advantage
  • You have good IT and system experience. We also work in a process-driven business
  • You speak and write Swedish fluently and English is meritorious
  • B driving license.
  • Travel occurs to be present within the department but also training and management team meetings
