The Engineering Department at Business Unit Vattenfall Power Solutions develops and implements projects and assignments and provides internal technical specialist services in a single competence center for all of Vattenfall's operations, Group staffs and stakeholders. This entails activities in the form of feasibility studies, analyses, investigations and project planning, mainly in nuclear power, nuclear fuel management and hydro power, but also in thermal power and wind power. The focus of the business unit is to develop our expertise in strategic areas to work towards Vattenfall's development towards a fossil-free future.

In the Electric Power and Automation competence area, we are currently about 20 employees and with us you get the opportunity to work with challenging assignments within the Vattenfall Group, you get freedom under responsibility with great opportunities for remote work, to control your working hours and to create solid relationships in your assignment. Your tasks

As an electrical designer with us, you will mainly work in assignments with our clients, but assignments under our own auspices may also be relevant.

You will participate in new, rebuilds and extensions with tasks in electrical design at a detailed level, which includes everything from large electrical power components to digital systems, furthermore, you may participate in the preparation of documentation for decisions and procurement and assist with your expert knowledge in dialogues with both internal and external parties.

We are looking for you who have

  • education in engineering, engineering or similar in the relevant field, or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way
  • at least 5 years of experience from the process or power industry
  • good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, both in Swedish and in English
  • driving license B


Advantageous if you have experience of

  • electrical construction tools

Business Unit (BU) Vattenfall Power Solutions is a business unit of approximately 450 people within Business Area (BA) Vattenfall Generation that supplies nuclear fuel to Vattenfall's nuclear power plants, develops and implements projects and assignments and provides internal technical specialist services for all of Vattenfall's operations, Group staffs and stakeholders. This includes activities such as project management and project support, analysis management and investigation, product development, nuclear safety and dam safety assignments. The focus of the Vattenfall Power Solutions business unit is to develop our capabilities in project management and selected key technical disciplines. We work actively with continuous improvement initiatives and development of our models, where our work and competence creates great value for Vattenfall and its investments.
