About the role

Are you interested in radiation and its impact on humans, the plant and the environment and have the desire and interest to act as a protective barrier at Ringhals? Then you should apply to us at NSR - Radiology and Operational Protection.

We are now looking for a Development Engineer for the group Operational Protection focusing on Operation and Revision (NSRD). Operational Protection is responsible for performing, developing and managing tasks in the field of operations (Protecting individuals, facilities and the environment) for the entire company. As a Development Engineer Protection, you will work in the field of operational protection, which includes both radiation protection and work environment.

As a Development Engineer, your main tasks are:

  • Planning, implementation and analysis in the field of radiation protection and radiology
  • Conduct event and cause investigations
  • Report writing, updating and reviewing instructions and instructions.
  • Maintaining contacts, both internally and externally with both the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority and other nuclear facilities.
  • Development of the business
  • International monitoring

We offer an outgoing and independent work as a Development Engineer. You will act as a technical support and competent resource in the area for the rest of the organization. With us, you contribute with key expertise in radiation protection and radiology in the ongoing and long-term work. The work covers a wide range of activities and involves both practical and administrative work. Acting as an instructor in the unit's radiation protection training and being part of Ringhals' accident preparedness is also part of the service.


Requirement specification

We are looking for you who have a university engineering degree or equivalent relevant knowledge in radiation protection and radiology and have several years of work experience in the nuclear power industry. Good plant knowledge at Ringhals is meritorious.

The work involves a lot of freedom under responsibility, which is why you need to be self-driven, careful, proactive, and communicative. To be able to contribute to the unit's development, we want you to be creative, responsive and positive to change. It is also important that you enjoy working in a team and want to contribute to our cross-border work within Ringhals.
