Your main tasks
AsDirector Health & Safety you will drive health and safety initiatives in the Nordics and internationally. You will be an important part of the global health and safety management team, with multiple stakeholders across the Vattenfall Group. The position supports Vattenfall in three dimensions: firstly in Sweden to ensure that employees receive statutory health support, secondly to deliver health and safety support to Vattenfall's staffs to cover the Vattenfall Group's strategy in the area and thirdly to manage the Swedish health and safety network and training in the area.
Your geographical area of responsibility includes Sweden, Denmark and Finland. In addition, you will be the SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for employees in Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the UK.
You will also:
- Lead an international team of eleven health and safety specialists.
- As an international SPOC: Develop, communicate and follow up on specific actions for the implementation of Vattenfall's health and safety strategy plans, KPIs, regulations and standards.
- We are striving for a world-class health and safety performance, you will help drive that culture change.
- Ensure timely monitoring and reporting of relevant health and safety issues, internally and externally.
- Proactively advise internationally on compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
- Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of health and safety management systems certified to ISO 45001.
- Support Swedish line managers, employees and HRBPs with reference to medical examinations and reintegration.
- Establish, maintain and follow up contracts with health providers.

Requirements specification
Your qualifications
- Academic degree in relevant field.
- Work experience as an engineer/health and safety specialist.
- Broad experience of health issues, both nationally and internationally.
- Leadership experience, preferably international.
- Experience in implementing strategic initiatives and improvements internationally and nationally.
- Ability to work in a large and complex organization, effectively managing internal interfaces.
A person who is clear and confident in your leadership role and has the ability to build trust and commitment. With your leadership, you enable employees and operations to reach their full potential. To thrive in the role, we also look for you to have a flair for building good customer relationships. You drive results and are committed to achieving our goals despite obstacles and setbacks. In the service, you need to have good communication skills in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.
