Our electricity network is over 12,000 miles long and we distribute electricity to about 900,000 customers. Vattenfall Electricity Distribution belongs to the Vattenfall Distribution Business Area and is in the middle of the energy transition with a central role in the powerful electrification that is currently taking place at the societal level. The Distribution Business Area has about 4,500 employees in Sweden and in addition to regulated electricity network operations, includes operations in field service - Vattenfall Service Nordic and Vattenfall Network Solutions, which provides Power-as-a-Service solutions to corporate customers.

We are looking for you who want to take on the task of leading and developing the Strategy & Operational Excellence unit within Vattenfall's Swedish electricity network operations; Vattenfall Distribution. You will also have a coordinating role within the entire Distribution business area for your area of responsibility and interact with the corresponding functions towards the Vattenfall Group.

About the position

As head of a newly established Strategy & Operational Excellence unit, you are responsible for the company's Strategy and Operational Excellence function.

The main responsibilities of the unit are;

• Develop the business area's operational strategy, drive strategic analysis, projects and initiatives.
• Responsible for and hold together the business area's operational excellence program in close collaboration with the Vattenfall Group for continuous improvement.
• Identify, drive and coordinate strategic impact issues.
• Drive the business in continuous development and efficiency. Manage and develop frameworks and models for the company's business development and process work.

In the role of Director Strategy & Operational Excellence, you will have two directly reporting managers with about 25 employees with a main location in Solna. You report to the head of the business area's management - VP Business Control & Operational Excellence and are part of the management team for the business support function Business Control & Operational Excellence. Your main interfaces are with the CEO, other support functions and the operational units within Vattenfall Electricity Distribution as well as with the corresponding functions in the other legal companies within the business area. Within your assignment responsibility, you are responsible for leading and developing the unit in line with the company's leadership principles; driving innovation, accelerating learning and connecting people.

Requirement specification

• Relevant academic degree.
• Long experience in a senior position with responsibility for strategy - preferably from a larger organization/consulting company.
• Documented experience of working with operational efficiency and process work.
• Documented experience of working independently towards company management and decision-makers.
• Documented experience from companies / industries that have undergone major change where you have led in, for example, strong growth / transition or similar.
• Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, in speech and writing.
