About the role

Are you passionate about documentation and quality work? Now there is the opportunity to work as a Documentation Technician with us at Gotlands Elnät and at the same time contribute to a fossil-free future!


As a Documentation Technician with us at Gotlands Elnät you will be part of a team that works closely together. The team's task is to update, quality assure and refine technical information in the relevant IT systems within the framework of construction projects, new connections, maintenance measures and fault rectification. You have a very important role in ensuring that our plant database is accurate and properly updated.

Your tasks

In the role of Documentation Technician, you are responsible for updating our plant and network information according to established processes in project activities and maintenance-related plant changes. Updating the existing network data structure with changes made so that our NIS system always contains the correct information. You are also responsible for ensuring that our facilities are correctly labeled and data and documented according to set guidelines in map and network diagram.

In the role, you will be responsible for the final documentation of both major projects and minor facility changes and are tasked with ensuring that our NIS system is consistent with reality. The final documentation includes correcting maps and network diagrams, updating technical data, managing survey files and archiving documentation, etc.

You will have several different interfaces both internally and externally and you have great opportunities to develop working methods and methods.


Requirement specification

We are looking for you who have:

  • Post-secondary education is desirable or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience of schematic drawing in a network diagram or equivalent.
  • Experience of Netbas or other GIS systems is meritorious.
  • El knowledge is meritorious.

As a person we are looking for you who are structured and have a knack for planning your work in an efficient way. As you will have several different interfaces in this position, you need to enjoy working with others to thrive. As a person, we also see that you can adapt your communication to the recipient and you should be able to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
