Vattenfall Vattenkraft is responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and about 300 dams in the Nordic region. We are about 500 employees in Sweden and Finland with headquarters in Luleå. About the role

The department is responsible for maintaining the company's dam safety in accordance with policy and national laws. We strive for world-class dam safety. The department is on the brink of a concerted effort to accelerate our efforts to improve dam safety at our facilities in the near future.

The position is part of the Swedish organization together with the entire team that has a great deal of expertise in the field of dust technology. Freely varied work with great opportunities to set up your own planning. Make things happen, interact with several parts of the organization and with many different people.

Examples of tasks include;

  • Work with deviation management and experience feedback incl. event investigations and support the other department in this work
  • Work with updates in the dam safety management system
  • Work together with the Head of Dam Safety and the RIDAS manager to ensure data quality
  • Work on external reporting
  • Contribute to developing the process for external reporting
  • Participate in and, where appropriate, lead investigations in the field of dam safety.
  • Participate in other tasks that occur in the department

In the role, you will also have an R&D coordinating element (research and development) You will be a support to BU Hydro's research council in the work of identifying research and development needs from a Hydro perspective. As R&D coordinator you will collect and structure information from each member of the Research Council and develop proposals for priorities.

As R&D coordinator, you participate in the allocation of resources within VRD and support competence planning. You will be part of the Research Council together with department heads from BU Hydro and VRD and the Head of Hydro's Technology Unit (GV-T) to whom you will also report.

Requirements specification

We are looking for you who have

  • Academic degree that is applicable in the field
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.

We see that you have professional experience and also have data analytical skills. The position requires that you have access to a driving license B.
