About the role

Do you want to make a real difference for Sweden to succeed in the energy transition and achieve the climate goals?We will make major investments in our network and are now looking for several Electric Power Engineers with expertise in control systems for our projects.

We are in a historic transition and are facing a comprehensive electrification of society. One way we are doing this is by increasing the investments we make in our electricity grid. To be able to do this, we need more committed employees in the Plant Investment unit who work with our investment projects in local and regional networks.

Now you have the chance to become one of our next power system engineers with a focus on control plant issues with the technology in focus and act as a technical resource in our investment projects.

About the role

As an Electric Power Engineer with us, we promise that you will be challenged in exciting and complex issues. The Project Engineering department is responsible for ensuring technical content in the planning, implementation of plant investments and delivering plant engineering specialist expertise to the business. With technology at the heart of our work, we are involved in developing practical solutions to technical challenges in operations, development and plant construction.

Your main responsibility will be to provide specialist expertise to the investment business, which means acting as a technical resource in our projects. Your tasks will include:

  • Ensuring the quality of the new facilities and that the facility design is optimal.
  • Assisting in the evaluation of tenders for the technical functions of the station
  • Reviewing the technical design and checking the design during factory tests.
  • Act as responsible representative during commissioning tests and commissioning and ensure that the plant meets the requirements of the technical specification and Vattenfall's Technical Guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the Plant Investment unit.

Travel to neighboring projects is required.


Requirements

We are looking for you who have

  • An engineering degree in electrical power engineering or have gained equivalent competence through work experience
  • Worked with a variety of electrical power issues and are familiar with the structure and function of the electrical network, preferably with a focus on fault isolation and control equipment systems.
  • Easy to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English
  • Driving license class B

It is meritorious if you have experience of

  • Relay protection testing
