About the role

Now we are looking for a maintenance engineer in electrical development.

About the role

The electrical maintenance unit consists of four groups that are responsible for the maintenance of all three reactors at Forsmark nuclear power plant. You will belong to the development group which is responsible for the areas of testing, cabling, inspection and engineering support. The group currently consists of both junior and senior engineers who contribute daily to learning within the group/unit. Your experience, education and personal qualities will determine which of the areas you will belong to.

About the job

Examples of some tasks within the group:

  • Plan and prepare upcoming maintenance/testing for renewal projects.
  • Compile test programs and perform testing.
  • Coordinate operational testing in the plant.
  • Work with system function and technical detail issues.
  • Report writing and investigations.
  • Provide engineering expertise and support to other groups in the unit.
  • Optimize and improve maintenance procedures and methodologies.
  • System health and aging.

On-call duties may occur at the achieved level of competence.

Various tasks that include both administrative and operational work. Here you have the opportunity to deepen and broaden your knowledge of electrical power.

Requirements specification

We are looking for you with education in electrical power, either in the form of engineering education, vocational training or upper secondary education, or have acquired equivalent experience through working life.

We see it as a merit if you have experience of practical electrical power work and have had a coordinating role.

We also attach great importance to your personal qualities. As the position involves many contact areas both within and outside the unit, good collaboration skills are required. In order to work safely and securely, you also have good structure in your work. At Forsmark, safety comes first and we therefore expect you to be reliable, and ask at the slightest uncertainty.

  • You have a B driving license and access to your own car.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.

Additional information

Buses to and from Forsmark are adapted to the working hours of the daytime staff. We also offer work buses with wireless network on the Gävle-Forsmark and Uppsala-Forsmark routes, which gives you the opportunity to use the travel time as working time if/when work allows. You also have the opportunity to use our remote workplaces in Gävle and Uppsala or work from home if/when work allows.
