The decommissioning of reactors 1 & 2 is now in an intensive period and is gaining increasing focus within Ringhals. The work we do in the decommissioning department is not only important today but will also demonstrate the role of nuclear power in the energy society by closing the cycle. Now you have the opportunity to contribute to this in the position of Ringhals Nuclear Safety Coordinator

The Decommissioning and Waste Management Department is tasked with operating, developing and decommissioning Ringhals' shutdown reactors. Developing means ensuring that systems needed for safe working environment and decommissioning work, but also adapting as the decommissioning progresses to eventually also be decommissioned.

About the job

As an Electrical Safety Coordinator with us, you will have a central role in ensuring electrical safety and electrical design within our organization. You will work with the development of documentation and analysis to support our work on decommissioning the electrical installations on R1 and R2. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our electrical systems and installations meet current safety standards and regulations.

Your main tasks:

  • Ensure electrical safety and perform risk analysis for the electrical installations
  • Support the team with technical advice and expertise in your field
  • Participate in projects and collaborate with other departments to ensure electrical safety

By succeeding in this role, you will contribute to the safe and efficient decommissioning of our electrical installations, which is an important part of our long-term goal to achieve fossil-free.

Requirements

About you

We are looking for you who have

  • post-secondary education in electrical power or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Importantly, you will have the knowledge and skills required to perform the work in a safe and efficient manner
  • a few years of work experience in a similar role and have an understanding of electrical safety and electrical design
  • very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English
  • good knowledge of applicable safety standards and regulations

You should have experience in risk analysis and safety assessment as well as strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking. In addition, good communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. Your broad expertise in electrical design and electrical safety makes you a valuable asset to our team.
