We are now looking for an Electrical Safety Specialist for the Operations & Maintenance Support department

The Operations & Maintenance Support department has an overall supporting function in operational and system development to the other operational departments within the unit. We are a group with a wide range of specialized skills where everyone collaborates and develops each other. The role of Electrical Safety Specialist

In the role of Electrical Safety Specialist with us, you will have an important task in being responsible for the ongoing electrical safety work within the unit. You will work locally close to the business with competence development in electrical safety and power system related issues. Your main tasks include, among other things:

  • Investigate incidents linked to electrical safety
  • Write instructions and update documents
  • Participate in designing training to develop the skills of employees in the operating activities
  • In the long term, participate in industry forums in electrical safety

Travel occurs in the service. This mainly concerns day trips to, for example, look at incidents in the field.

Requirements specification

We are looking for you who are passionate about developing our business in the form of electrical safety work. As a person, you are driven and make sure that things get done. Safety is of great importance and therefore we always try to be one step ahead when it comes to electrical safety work. There may be situations where you need to investigate incidents where a colleague has made a mistake, so it is important that you are a reliable person with high integrity. We also see that you are a good communicator as it is your responsibility to report the results of investigations and communicate what actions need to be taken.

We know that you will develop with us. But for this position, you are required to already have:

  • An academic education in electrical power and/or several years of relevant equivalent work experience, preferably from the energy industry or similar industries
  • Several years of work experience in electrical safety
  • ESA is a requirement. Meritorious if you have also been trained in it
  • Meritorious if you have worked in operation- maintenance or project activities, either in the planning stage or in the field
  • Very good ability to communicate in Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement. English is meritorious

Location: Trollhättan, Solna, Uppsala or Luleå. However, we are flexible with the location, so it is possible to work from another location where Vattenfall Eldistribution has an establishment.
