Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB, SKB, is working on one of Sweden's largest environmental protection projects. SKB's mission is to take care of all radioactive waste from the Swedish nuclear power plants. This must be done in a way that is safe for both people and the environment.

Today, around 600 people are employed at SKB. We have extensive collaboration with experts and contractors outside the company.

SKB's head office is located in Arenastaden in Solna. We also have offices in Oskarshamn and Forsmark/Östhammar, where we have facilities and conduct various activities for the construction of a final repository for spent nuclear fuel.


About the role

SKB is looking for a safety-conscious and responsible coordinator in crisis preparedness.

Here you will work

The Operations and Maintenance Department is responsible for the operation of SKB's nuclear facilities. In Oskarshamn there is the interim storage facility for spent nuclear fuel, Clab, and in Forsmark, in Östhammar municipality, there is the final repository for short-lived radioactive waste, SFR.

In the Protection and Transportation unit, we are responsible for crisis and emergency preparedness at the sites where we operate.

Now we are looking for an employee in the field of crisis preparedness for SFR. You will be a driving force in crisis preparedness, both in operation / maintenance and for future projects. You will work with responsible colleagues who help and support each other.

What you will do

In the service you will, among other things, work with the following tasks:

  • Coordinate the emergency response organization through planning of personnel resources, exercises, training and equipment.
  • Develop and manage required documentation such as emergency plan with associated emergency instructions.
  • Act as a contact person for authorities in emergency preparedness issues.
  • Support in coordination regarding emergency planning with programs/projects in Forsmark.


Requirements

We are looking for you who have a university education or upper secondary education with solid and broad work experience in issues related to crisis preparedness. It is meritorious if you have experience from operations with security requirements.

As a person, you are self-driven, responsible, structured, quality-conscious and have a strong integrity. You have a positive attitude and you deliver according to set goals and policies. The role requires responsiveness and a good ability to collaborate and communicate in a clear way.

Other important qualities are patience and perseverance even in changing conditions and situations while taking your own initiative to be able to perform your duties.

The position requires a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing, both in Swedish and in English. Driving license B is a requirement.
