About the role

The Markets Business Area is responsible for maximizing the value of Vattenfall's portfolio by optimizing, securing and sourcing Vattenfall's assets and sales positions. The unit acts as Vattenfall's market contact for trading of electricity, emissions, fuels, freight and renewable energy certificates. We operate across Europe with more than 450 professionals working from Sweden, Germany and the Netherlands.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Fullstack Developer to become a key member of our dynamic and innovative development team. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and technologies, as well as contribute to the development of our digital solutions. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain both Frontend and Backend components of our applications.
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into user-friendly, efficient and scalable systems.
  • Participate in technical discussions and make decisions that affect the architecture and design of our applications.
  • Conduct unit and integration tests and ensure that the code follows development best practices.
  • Participate in a 24/7 IT Readiness team to support our business critical applications

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working as a Fullstack Developer, focusing on both frontend and backend technologies
  • Strong experience with Java with Spring boot and some experience with Python
  • Good knowledge of Javascript/Typescript, as well as modern frontend frameworks such as Angular
  • You should have an entrepreneurial mindset and be passionate about developing both yourself and our business.
  • Relevant degree, e.g. Knowledge of databases and data management systems.
  • Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing

Advantageous:

  • Experience with cloud services such as Azure
  • Understanding of agile development methods (scrum) and DevOps principles.
  • Experience working with Kafka
  • Experience with microservice architecture, preferably in the cloud, such as Azure, and Kubernetes is meritorious.
  • Ability to optimize performance and security of web applications.
