About the job
To get you into the role in the best way, we apply mentorship/adaptation, where you learn the business under the guidance of an experienced colleague
After an initial introductory period, where you get the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the business and build the necessary relationships, there is the possibility of some remote work
You will work closely with your purchasing colleagues at Forsmark, but also with buyers at Ringhals, as we have extensive collaboration. At present, we are a total of about 35 employees evenly distributed between Forsmark and Ringhals in an even mix of women and men. You will represent mainly Forsmark but also Ringhals and by extension also Vattenfall in various types of business relationships, your contact areas internally (outside the purchasing unit) will mainly be aimed at ordering units within Forsmark and Ringhals. Externally, the contact areas will mainly be with our suppliers. The work includes travel, both for meetings with suppliers and between Vattenfall's Forsmark and Ringhals sites.
In procurement, you drive the entire process from start to finish, which includes analysis of the supplier market, choice of procurement form, tender documents, negotiation with and evaluation of suppliers in close cooperation with the internal client and the completed contract. You will manage complex business-critical procurements that require a holistic and proactive approach.
You will monitor suppliers' compliance with contractual terms and conditions, manage contract modifications and contract interpretation disputes. You will contribute to the development of the procurement process and be responsible for procurement strategies in your area. Documenting your ongoing purchasing work is a matter of course.
Collaboration with corresponding functions within the Vattenfall Group in order to analyze and develop joint business opportunities is also part of the assignment.

To succeed in the role, you need to be strategic, have a high degree of business acumen and be able to act independently. The work largely involves communication and negotiations with external suppliers, which means that it is important that you are businesslike, communicative and act based on Vattenfall's Code of Conduct. You are driven and committed to building and maintaining relationships with internal ordering units and external suppliers. You have an analytical ability, take initiative and act proactively to identify opportunities for improvement.

Forsmark nuclear power plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden and we produce one sixth of the electricity consumed in Sweden.
