About the role

Sweden has embarked on a historic transition and is facing a comprehensive electrification of society. To demonstrate our ambition to contribute to the energy transition and to continue to enable increased electrification of Sweden, we aim to distribute twice as much electricity in our grid by 2030 and to transmit electricity with 99.99% reliability.

We are now looking for you who are an experienced Protection and Control Analyst with at least five years of experience working with meshed networks 70-130kV and working with selective plans and/or disturbance analysis.

Selective planning manages the control facility and is responsible for developing relay protection settings and designing the relay protection system. The department provides expertise to ensure reliable fault clearance in our existing facilities, taking into account personal safety, security of supply, environment and economy. In the coming years, we will increase investments in our facilities throughout Sweden. Selective planning is involved in all investment and connection projects.

The role of Protection and Control Analyst

The work as a Protection and Control Analyst is a stimulating work in a department with a good atmosphere, close cooperation and with very high competence in selective planning.

In the role of Protection and Control Analyst, you will be part of our department working with relay protection settings, design of relay protection systems, fault analysis and plant management. You will also participate in the development work conducted within the department and the company.

As a Protection and Control Analyst you may be responsible for:

  • Investigations and fault analyses in the event of operational faults
  • Selective planning by being responsible for developing selective plans
  • Fault current calculations
  • As a plant owner, develop gap analyses and proposals for measures in control equipment
  • As a plant owner and requirements developer, participate in investment projects


Requirements specification

We are looking for you who have:

  • An engineering degree at college or university level in electrical power, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we consider equivalent
  • A minimum of five years of experience working with selective plans and/or disturbance analyses
  • A minimum of five years of experience working with selective plans for meshed networks 70-130kV
  • Easy to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Advantage if you have previous experience with net calculation programs such as Netbas and/or PSSE.
  • Experience of programming in, for example, Python, VBA, C# or similar
