The group you will belong to is responsible for the operation and management of Forsmark's outer area as well as survey equipment and data management.
What you will do
As a field technician, you will work with maintenance, installation and monitoring of equipment and instruments. These are located in forests, fields and near lakes/oceans and are used in our surveys. The work is varied and involves, among other things:

The position requires a keen interest and aptitude for mechanical work and an understanding of data collection. You are quality conscious and understand the importance of documenting what you do. It is an advantage if you have experience with deep borehole installations. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of hydrology or hydrogeology.
As a person, you enjoy both collaborating and solving tasks independently. You must like practical problem solving both in regular work tasks and in unforeseen events. You are self-driven, enjoy taking responsibility and are both structured and thorough. Your communication skills are very important as you both maintain existing contact areas and create new ones, both internally and externally.
As large parts of the work will be carried out in our research area in Forsmark in Östhammar municipality, it is necessary that you have a driving license B.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English is a requirement.
