About the role

Would you like to design tomorrow's electricity grid?

Do you want to be an important part of the energy supply? With us, you work in a future industry with a strong focus on societal development and fossil freedom. We need more energy heroes who, together with us, want to make a difference for the whole of society.

In August 2025, our uniquely designed training program will start for those who want to develop in the role of Preparer. During two semesters, you undergo a company-adapted training, where work is alternated with courses, to give you the right conditions in your new role within Vattenfall Services. We offer you training in, among other things, Pipeline and Mechanical Dimensioning, Environmental Law, Earthing Technology, Underground Cable Networks, Land Valuation and Land Lease.

What does a Preparer do with us?

A Preparer works with designing the electricity network when it is time to take the planning from the desk to reality. In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that the technical solution is feasible in reality and divide your time between the office and the field. It is a varied role with many interfaces such as landowners, customers and authorities.

You will work with both new construction and maintenance projects on overhead lines, underground cable networks and in substations. Vattenfall Services does not own any electricity network itself, but all projects are carried out on behalf of customers and at our customers' facilities. Our customers are energy companies, network companies, industries, infrastructure companies, real estate companies and construction companies.

You work mainly with the following:

• Technical solutions
• Landowner contacts
• Network calculations
• Material orders
• Financial calculations
• Contacts with customers, authorities and other external actors
• Preparing documentation for quotes and tenders
• Documentation and follow-up

Requirements specification

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are currently working as an electrical power technician and have an electrical engineering degree or you who are at the beginning of your career after vocational college, college or university studies and want to develop further in a role as a Preparer.

To thrive as an Advisor, you need to be a driven and open-minded individual who is able to build new relationships and collaborate easily. You are motivated by problem solving and see opportunities in the challenges you face.

We know that you will grow with us. But we'd love to see that you already have:

• A completed vocational college, college or university education in electricity / electric power or other relevant education to start the program in September 2025, or currently working as a technician in electricity / electric power
• Projector knowledge, CAD experience, experience of line distribution and cable work and knowledge of EBR is meritorious
• Good computer skills and can handle the most common software
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing
• B driving license
