The Asset Surveillance department has a national responsibility for Vattenfall Electricity Distribution's detection capability in the security area physical protection, which includes the operation and management of all security technology as well as full operational and staffing responsibility for our monitoring centers.

Do you want to lead a team that works on the front line of monitoring our critical infrastructure? Do you have security management experience and want to help develop our monitoring capability into one of the most efficient and reliable units in the industry? We are now looking for a Group Manager for our Northern Monitoring Center, who will lead and motivate the operators in their 24/7 mission.

About the role

As the Manager of our Monitoring Center, you have the overall responsibility to lead & coach the operator team, support incident management and further develop security procedures to meet both current and future challenges. You play an important role in ensuring that our critical assets remain protected. The role is an important part of the department that ensures that the company's detection capability is in line with both external laws and requirements and the company's internal ambitions. You will report directly to the Executive Director of Asset Surveillance and be part of his/her management team. With the role comes staff responsibility for 10 direct reports.

Duties

  • Management and development of the team: Responsible for planning, managing, coaching and developing 10 shift surveillance operators in maintaining a high level of security, accuracy and efficiency.
  • Security strategy and incident management: Develop and implement strategic plans for surveillance, manage serious incidents and support operators in critical decisions.
  • Quality Assurance and Process Improvement: Conduct regular quality reviews of surveillance activities, including CCTV and remote roaming, and work proactively to improve processes and procedures.
  • Collaboration and Reporting: Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of security. Report incidents and actions to the management team.
  • Training and Security Culture: Ensure the team has the necessary training and knowledge to manage technical systems and follow best practices for a safe and secure work environment.


Requirements specification

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced leader in security - with proven leadership experience in guarding, security center or similar environment.
  • Strategic and analytical - you are able to see the big picture and make quick decisions to deal with emergencies while working long-term on development issues.
  • Communicative and inspiring - you have the ability to motivate and build strong teams and are clear in your communication.
  • Technically savvy and results-oriented - you have a good knowledge of surveillance systems, security programs and remote roaming and ensure that the team achieves its goals.

To succeed in the role, you have several years of experience working in a security center, preferably with managerial or coordinating responsibilities. Furthermore, you have experience in leading and developing teams, as well as being used to working in a shift operation. We attach great importance to your personal qualities. We believe that you have good communication skills and find it easy to establish good contacts both internally and externally. You are confident and stable as a person and can easily adapt to new conditions. In this position, it is also important that you are persistent, structured and security conscious. You need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
