About the role

The Asset Surveillance department has a national responsibility for Vattenfall Electricity Distribution's detection capability in the security area physical protection, which includes the operation and management of all security technology as well as full operational and staffing responsibility for our monitoring centers.

About the role: Do you want to lead a team that is on the front line of securing our critical infrastructure? We are now looking for a Group Manager responsible for our operational technical resources, who will lead and motivate staff in their daily tasks. As a manager, you will have overall responsibility for leading and coaching the team, supporting incident management and further developing security practices to meet both current and future challenges. You play an important role in ensuring that our critical assets remain protected. The role reports directly to the Executive Director of Asset Surveillance and is part of his/her management team.

Duties:

  • Managing and developing the team: Responsible for managing and developing 10-15 technical specialists, maintaining a high level of security with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Security Strategy and Incident Management: Develop and implement strategic plans for monitoring, managing serious incidents and supporting the technicians in decision making.
  • Collaboration and Reporting: Communicate and interact with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest security standards. Report incidents and actions to the management team.
  • Training and safety culture: Ensure that the team has the necessary training and knowledge for a safe and secure working environment and is given the right conditions to handle our technical systems.


Requirements

We are looking for someone who is

  • Communicative and inspiring: You have the ability to motivate and build strong and safe teams and are clear in your communication.
  • Relationship building: You have a natural way of creating a positive and open work climate in a technology and engineering driven environment.
  • Driven and result oriented: You have a natural drive and with accuracy you ensure that the team reaches its goals.
  • Experienced in security: You have experience in the field of physical security, preferably in a leading position.
  • Strategic and analytical: You see the big picture and can quickly make decisions to deal with acute situations while working long-term on development issues.

We attach great importance to your personal qualities. As a person, you are driven, energetic, thorough and unpretentious. Furthermore, you are a confident and stable person who can easily adapt to new conditions. You have a strong ability to lead and motivate a number of technical specialists in their work, with support and coaching, and are clear and straightforward in your communication. In this position, it is also important that you are persistent, structured and safety conscious. Furthermore, you have good communication skills, in Swedish and English, and are easy to make good contacts both internally and externally.

  • It is advantageous if you have experience of working in a large group.
