About the role

Do you want to lead the mechanical workshop at the maintenance department of Sweden's largest electricity producer? Do you want to contribute to Sweden's fossil-free electricity supply?

We are now looking for you who want to take on a challenging role as group manager for the mechanical workshop at maintenance at Forsmark!

The energy industry is facing major changes with increased electricity demand in Sweden and globally, which makes Forsmark Kraftgrupp a continued important electricity supplier for a long time to come. This also means that we are a secure employer that offers many career and development opportunities.

The assembly unit is responsible for all assembly at Forsmark's nuclear power plant and consists of three groups; Electrical assembly, Mechanical/Building assembly and Workshop assembly. Each group consists of about 10 permanent employees with a wide age range, different skills and educational backgrounds.

For the mechanical workshop, we are looking for a group manager who is interested in building and developing effective teams. As a manager of the workshop team, you are every day an important cog for the electrical production where learning and technology go hand in hand.

About the job

The workshop is responsible for welding and welding technical management, cutting machining, sheet metal and forging, water cutting, mobile machining, material handling, preparation / planning and manufacturing of spare parts. The team includes supervisors and technicians (mostly hired). The group may also carry out maintenance work on behalf of another unit or group. The group is also responsible for the workshop that works with manufacturing and prefabrication.

Your tasks

  • manage, plan and prioritize tasks within the group's area of responsibility
  • maintain and develop skills, tasks and processes together with the group
  • work for a good working environment, motivate and coach your colleagues in order to achieve common goals together
  • The position involves budgetary and personnel responsibilities

You report to the Head of Unit, are part of the management team for the assembly unit, and act as the group's, and when you feel comfortable also the unit's and department's, representative in various forums and projects. The work within the management team is characterized by collaboration in order for the unit to achieve set goals.

We would like you to have:

  • interest in developing both leadership and technical knowledge
  • experience in leadership
  • education/experience in the electrical/energy/workshop area or for the position relevant area
  • good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing
  • well familiar with the Office package
  • driving license B

We want you to possess some of the above qualities, and complement with your own skills.
