About the role

We at Vattenfall Eldistribution are growing and we now need a manager for our Contract Management department. The expectations of managing our contracts and ensuring that we get the delivery we have agreed are constantly increasing and are an important part of being able to deliver to our customers. As we invest more, we need more people and more efficient ways to do this.

The Contract Management department is responsible for compiling requirements and needs from across the company to ensure appropriate contracts. We ensure strategic and tactical control and consistent management of our supplier contracts. The department performs overall analysis, development and follow-up to ensure contract compliance, creates opportunities, educates, digitizes and supports the business to become an even better professional buyer.

We are also responsible for keeping an eye on the supplier market to ensure that we buy the right things and get the delivery we want in collaboration with project implementation and purchasing. We are responsible for keeping up-to-date contract documents available internally and externally. We are responsible for keeping an up-to-date contract register. Today we are about 20 people in the department, located in our offices in Solna, Luleå and Trollhättan.

As Head of Department, you will inspire and engage our employees within your assignment responsibility and ensure that set goals are achieved. In your assignment, you and your colleagues will create the conditions for our success by working towards common company and unit goals. The position suits those who see all employees and are happy to handle challenges at the intersection of supplier, customer and society.

Examples of duties

  • Leading the department and being the immediate manager of 20-25 employees
  • Ensure that the processes and routines we have for how we procure and manage supplier contracts are followed
  • Leads and runs the department and develops the employees and together with the process department develops the working methods
  • Responsible for maintaining a dialog with the rest of the business so that we can contribute to them within our area of responsibility, as well as having a dialog with and control of our supplier market
  • You are good at building and maintaining relationships both internally and externally
  • Ensure efficient resource utilization and collaboration both within and outside the department.


Requirements specification

We are looking for you who have a relevant academic degree or equivalent experience working on similar issues in the energy or construction industry. If you have experience of managing similar activities either on the client side or on the contractor side before, it is an advantage. You need to have leadership experience from previous management positions.

You are driven by developing both people and ways of working and have the ability to inspire and make your employees grow and feel involved in the change work together with colleagues within the company. For this position, you need to be solution-oriented, creative and decisive.

You will have many contacts with both internal and external parties, which is why the ability and willingness to collaborate, influence and contribute to the development of the business is important. Furthermore, you will have good communication skills, both written and oral, and feel comfortable taking questions from our partners. In order to communicate your decisions and business challenges, you have the ability to create presentations and reports in both Swedish and English.
