About the role

At the workshop in Stenungsund, we have customers in the energy industry, the process industry and water and sewage as well as infrastructure in the form of components for pipes and stations. Our assignments are based on contracts and projects as well as manufacturing assignments mainly in mechanics, welding and forging, both manufacturing and maintenance. We work closely with the local operation and maintenance organization at the site and the assignments that are ongoing there. We manufacture most things in most materials, which means a very varied everyday life.

Our projects and assignments also have great variation in time and scope, from one-day jobs to several weeks. Our customers are local, regional and in the energy industry with lines and stations and all work is mainly done in Västra Götaland. Travel occurs as a natural part of the work as a department manager. At internal meetings, customer contacts and for larger assignments or projects, occasional travel with longer distances and overnight stays may occur.

As a department manager you will lead a department with a good team of 8-10 people with different skills who work for the benefit of customers and the business. You will have a strong focus on continuing to run and develop our business together with your employees at our manufacturing workshop in Stenungsund.

You report to the business area manager and are part of the management team for the business area.


Some of your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • responsibility for the business with workshop work, maintenance and mechanical processing
  • operational responsibility incl. financial, quality, personnel and work environment according to delegation
  • responsibility for the application of environmental and quality systems
  • develop the business according to goals, budget and activity plans
  • responsible for active sales and market monitoring
  • be involved in quotes and tenders and purchasing/procurement of suppliers/UE.
  • responsibility for resources and competencies
  • overall responsibility for business planning and project implementation

Requirements

We know that you will develop with us. But we would like to see that you already have:

  • technical education or engineering education, preferably at university level
  • competence in quality requirements for welding and habit of reading drawings
  • experience in mechanical manufacturing and maintenance in an industrial environment
  • experience in tender work, sales and marketing.
  • several years of experience as a manager/supervisor including responsibility for systematic work environment management and safety work
  • B-driving license
  • computer skills (Office package)
  • good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
