Vattenfall Eldistribution AB distributes electricity to households, businesses and society - around the clock, all year round. Our electricity network is over 12,000 miles long and we distribute electricity to almost 900,000 customers. The electricity grids are at the center of the energy transition and are an enabler for a fossil-free society. The powerful electrification that is underway is predicted to double energy use in Sweden by 2045. For Vattenfall's Swedish electricity network business, Vattenfall Eldistribution, the high demand means a doubling of transmitted energy already by 2030, driven by a desire in all customer segments to become fossil-free, where industry and the transport sector are converting, more wind and solar production is being added and the ability to store energy is being strengthened. Digitization and IT support are a prerequisite for us to meet the expectations that are placed on us as a distribution company. Therefore, we are now looking for you who, together with us and other stakeholders, can lead the work of developing, introducing and managing appropriate and efficient IT solutions that meet the rapid pace of development that takes place in the electricity distribution and energy sector.

As Head of IT, you are responsible for ensuring that our IT operations are run in a modern and appropriate way and that meet our business needs to become more digitized and data-driven in our decisions. You are responsible for ensuring that our IT strategy is in line with our overall strategy and the world's expectations of us as one of Sweden's largest electricity network companies. You currently have three directly reporting heads of department who in turn are responsible for project activities, development and management. The number of employees is around 60 people and a varying number of consultants. You report directly to the VP IT & Security of the company. In your role as Business Information Officer, you will be part of the Vattenfall Group's BIO forum led by Vattenfall's CIO.

Overall responsibilities:

• Defining and implementing an IT strategy that develops our IT operations and supports the company's business goals and overall strategy.
• Ensure cost-effective, modern and fit-for-purpose ways of working throughout the lifecycle of our IT support.
• Maintain IT operations in line with Vattenfall's security management system.
• Ensure that all IT technology platforms are well integrated and meet the business needs for efficient data flows and analysis.
• Ensuring that IT support enables our businesses to improve and streamline internal processes and ways of working through digitization and automation.
• Managing and developing the IT team, including recruitment, training and skills development.
• Develop and be responsible for the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Ensure that the IT portfolio is properly dimensioned and develop the relationship with Vattenfall's internal IT companies, as well as our external IT suppliers.
• Interact with all parts of the company to identify and implement technical solutions and ways of working that improve and meet the needs of the business.
• Follow and adapt the business to relevant technological trends, innovations and regulatory requirements in the energy sector.

We are looking for you who have:

• Relevant academic university/college degree in IT or the energy sector or equivalent work experience.
• Good experience in a senior position in an IT organization - with experience in leading managers.
• Experience in change management - with a focus on efficiency and digitalization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and influence different stakeholders in the organization.
• Ability to identify business challenges and find creative solutions.
• Strong understanding of business models and how digital solutions can create value for both customers and the business.
• Experience of interacting and collaborating in a large, complex organization.
• Knowledge of relevant IT systems for a distribution business.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
