We ensure the competence of the Swedish nuclear power plants' personnel through both theoretical education and training in full-scale simulators. About the role

We are now looking for a Unit Manager with the task of being the head of the two smaller units Simulator Systems (TS) and Simulator Support (TM) within the Technology Department KSU, Nuclear Safety and Training AB.
About the Job
The Technology Department is led by the Head of Technology, and currently has four unit managers and about 40 engineers. The department is responsible for KSU's simulators that are used to train control room personnel at all Swedish nuclear power plants and is tasked with ensuring that KSU's simulators are functionally similar to the nuclear power plants' control rooms. Depending on the modernizations being carried out at the nuclear power plants, project activities within the Technology Department are extensive. This means that a lot of new technology is introduced in the simulators, which generates many interesting tasks.
The department is divided into five units, four of which are linked to our simulators and one is our IT unit. Operations are conducted from our head office located in Nyköping and from our training facilities with simulators located in close proximity to the nuclear power plants in Forsmark, Oskarshamn and Ringhals.
The main task of the Simulator Systems (TS) unit is to be responsible for the operation and maintenance of simulators and development environments and to be responsible for the operational availability of the simulators. The unit consists of a total of 7 employees.
The main task of the Simulator Support (TM) unit is to provide support to simulator users and to be responsible for dealing with and resolving faults. The unit consists of a total of 6 employees.
Your tasks as Unit Manager
As Unit Manager in the KSU Technology Department, you are responsible for the operational availability of the simulators. Your unit is responsible for systems, operation and maintenance of the simulators and their development environments and ensures that disruptions are dealt with.
The location for the position is primarily Nyköping, the office is located centrally close to the train station, alternatively at one of KSU's local offices in Ringhals, Forsmark or Oskarshamn. At KSU, we work flexibly, which means good opportunities for remote work.
The units' employees consist of a total of 13 people and are located at all the locations above - this means that the role of manager involves travel and visits to all the locations of the business one or two times per six months.

Place of employment is Nyköping or at one of KSU's local offices in Ringhals, Forsmark or Oskarshamn. At KSU, we work flexibly, which means good opportunities for remote work. The service involves travel to other offices 1-2 times per semester.
