About the role


We are now looking for a driven HV Manager for Vattenfall Wind Power Operation Sweden with the task of supporting the operations organization at our existing and future wind farms in a safe and controlled way to operate and maintain our electrical plants. You will report to and support the Head of Onshore Operations Sweden in matters related to electrical safety.

As HV Manager you will:

  • Ensure that the operation and maintenance of the high voltage facilities is carried out in a safe and controlled manner by applying and developing processes and procedures for Vattenfall's onshore wind farms in Sweden, whether the work is performed by internal staff or contractors
  • Coordinate/monitor high voltage related tasks delegated to other functions in the organization
  • Act as an expert in the field of electrical safety and actively support the organization in electrical safety issues and current legislation and have an external monitoring function in the field of electrical safety
  • Together with operating staff at the wind farms, manage contractors, coordinate required work, manage interfaces with grid companies, etc.
  • Develop and renew governing documents in electrical safety management systems, manage and lead incident investigations and develop and deliver electrical safety training
  • Be representative in industry networks, external and internal forums and establish good cooperation with contractors, authorities and colleagues in the industry
  • Represent the operations organization in the development of new wind power projects
  • Provide assistance and expertise on technical electrical issues

The position may involve travel and overnight stays.



Requirements specification


We are looking for people who

  • Have work experience in electrical engineering in the relevant industry and plant knowledge of electricity generation plants
  • Education with a focus on electric power or power generation, combined with deep competence in the field of electrical safety
  • Experience of working in some form of management system focusing on electrical safety with high health and safety requirements
  • Authorization in electricity is meritorious
  • Experience in troubleshooting and analysis as well as technical knowledge of wind farm layouts is an advantage.
  • Express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish and English
  • B driving license

A high level of safety awareness, a proactive approach and good collaboration skills are skills that we value highly. We would like to see that you are result-oriented and have good planning skills to meet tight deadlines. We also see that you are a good communicator who thrives in meeting people and can express yourself in an educational way both in speech and writing in Swedish and English, as well as produce concise information for senior executives.
