About the role
Do you have experience from the insurance industry and want to work close to Vattenfall's core business and have the opportunity to influence and further develop the business? We are now looking for an Insurance Manager to join our team in Solna!
The role of Insurance Manager belongs to the Group's Non-Life Insurance department which is responsible for providing all companies within the Vattenfall Group with cost-effective and affordable non-life insurance solutions and acting as a center of excellence for insurance matters.
You will be responsible for arranging insurance coverage for the Vattenfall Group and acting as a contact person for the Group companies regarding non-life insurance matters. All insurable risks are handled by the insurance department, which decides how to insure the risks with the aim of minimizing the Group's costs for insurable risk on the most favourable terms possible. You will manage the full spectrum of insurance-related activities within an assigned area of responsibility.
The Insurance Department is also responsible for the operation of Vattenfall's Captive, Försäkringsaktiebolaget Vattenfall Insurance, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vattenfall AB under the supervision of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority. The Captive is an important tool in the Group's work with insurable risks.
You will report to the Head of Insurance. It is a relatively small and highly competent team that shares tasks and knowledge. At the same time, you will have a great deal of personal responsibility and opportunity for personal development in the role.
Your tasks:
The role involves continuous contacts in all geographical markets of the Vattenfall Group. The contacts are both internal, with e.g. insurance coordinators and project managers in business areas, and external, with e.g. insurance brokers, claims handlers or actuaries.

As a person, you are adept at dealing with complex insurance issues and make informed decisions thanks to your strong analytical skills. You are also a skilled negotiator and have the ability to take initiative and work independently. You have excellent internal and external communication skills. You keep abreast of Vattenfall's strategic direction and are curious and networking. Finally, you are an adaptable and unpretentious person who can work with all levels of tasks in your role.
