This means, for example, that we together create IT architecture for :

  • Full IT/OT integration to ensure smooth transfer of data in real time
  • Our next generation ERP transformation
  • Data-driven solutions (Predictive maintenance, Digital twins, AI cases)
  • New market models (support functions)
  • Modernization of IT architecture
  • Advanced solutions to deliver real-time insights into the performance of our Hydro assets to reduce maintenance costs

Our team needs business facing solution architects; You know how to use the latest IT technology to make our Hydropower assets and processes work optimally, you also act as an enabler to ensure we reach our ambitious goals and inspire Hydropower to see new opportunities! We have a large SAP and Microsoft implementation, with more than 20,000 users in six countries.

Our IT Architecture group consists of 30 Enterprise/Solution Architects involved in about 100+ key projects, focusing on Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture for all Vattenfall business units. We act as a hub to understand business needs and see the big picture to help our teams securely adopt tomorrow's technologies.

Your main responsibilities:

  • You will participate in the major strategic projects to guide them to successful implementation based on fit-for-purpose architecture
  • You will together with Vattenfall IT develop the business IT strategy, integration strategy, data strategy, etc.You will have a solid understanding of IT security.i
  • You will have (or build up) deep knowledge of Hydropower's system landscape to become the hub for how Hydropower should develop it.
  • You will, in dialog with the business, drive further development of our IT network solutions.
  • You will help us grow our business idea and establish standards and architecture principles. You will be our trusted advisor to Hydro Power and other business areas to enable their business models with technology - even if it means radical change!

Requirements specification

We are looking for a versatile architect, with experience preferably as an architect or consultant in an Asset intensive industry (energy, water, industry, automotive or similar). Some experience with integration issues is an advantage.

You feel comfortable communicating with both colleagues within IT and from other parts of the business. You thrive in a constantly changing environment. In addition, you have:

  • An academic degree in IT or related subjects
  • Worked in an international environment and you speak Swedish and English
  • Deep knowledge of IT and experience with IT architecture and frameworks
  • Experience from an Asset intensive industry is a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Well Architected Framework
  • You thrive on producing architecture documents
  • And you have skills in transforming complex problems into concise solutions.
  • And... we love architects who talk business and know TOGAF, rather than those who talk TOGAF and know business...

Location: For this position you will be based in Luleå, Sweden. Some travel to the office (Stockholm, Solna) may occur.
