The automation area is growing rapidly and Vattenfall Eldistribution is installing more and more automation in the electricity grid. In addition to reinvestment needs of obsolete equipment, there are strong drivers through increased demands for fewer and shorter power outages and enablers for further digitalization. The OT & Automation group is responsible for the operation and management of automation equipment, such as RTUs, HMIs and switches, throughout its lifecycle and actively works as a technical requirement setter in the plant investment projects.

In the role of IT/OT security specialist, you will be part of our team working with the operation, development and maintenance of the IT/OT environment for automation equipment. You will work on IT/OT security issues for our infra environment and equipment and participate in internal security collaboration forums. This work is done together with colleagues, consultants and other units within the company.

Your main tasks are to:

• Participate in the daily work of operation, maintenance and development of automation equipment and the underlying IT/OT environment and infrastructure.
• Work with risk analysis work in the business area.
• Work with security protection plans and continuity planning.
• Analyze, plan and implement strategic and security-enhancing measures.
• Participate in, or lead, security enhancement projects and investigations in the area, in close collaboration with other departments.
• Develop, test and evaluate new technical solutions and functions in the architecture and security area.
• Participate in development projects initiated by Vattenfall RnD (research and development) department.
• Require and review IT/OT solutions and infrastructure in procurement of systems, services and equipment.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have post-secondary education with a focus in IT, or equivalent experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• Have experience working in IT/OT security and/or any of the following areas, operations, management, architecture, system integration, Linux or Windows environments, scripting, Java, VMware, remote access.
• Some form of IT security training or equivalent experience.
• B-driving license is desirable.

It is meritorious if you:

• Have basic knowledge of hardware, networks, firewalls and knowledge of scripting and automation.
• Have a basic understanding of process automation and IEC 61850, but is not a requirement.

Additional Information

Location: Luleå, Trollhättan, Solna. Travel in the service occurs, mainly based around the location.
