About the role

The Metering department has overall responsibility for Eldistribution's electricity meters, focusing on everything from the actual electricity meters in the field, to the collection of measurement values, to dialogue with electricity traders, to communication equipment and call-off of field services, to finally be able to invoice the customer.

The Metering Technology group is responsible for owning and managing metering facilities and being a competence center for metering technology issues. Ensuring that the technical design of metering systems complies with current regulations and guidelines for local and regional networks. The group also works with delivery follow-up for contracts entered into with our hired contractors and supply of the meter stock through strategic purchasing and stocking of metering equipment and metering transformers.

As a Metering Engineer, you will, among other things:

  • Review control reports for metering systems cat2-5
  • Call for field services to contractors
  • Follow up and work with requirements, deliveries and lead times
  • Require metering technology solutions for local and regional networks
  • Drive improvement work and develop our IT tools through business development, automations, etc.
  • Manage metrological issues
  • Monitor the world and follow changes in laws and regulations that affect us
  • Possibility of deepening in a specific area

Requirements specification

We are looking for you who:

Have post-secondary education, preferably in electrical power or other education/work experience that the employer considers equivalent.

We would like you to have previous experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Measuring transformers
  • Reading and understanding or constructing electrical circuit diagrams
  • Electric meters, incl. calculation of metering circuits
  • Control of metering systems, accreditation
  • Knowledge of Swedac's regulations regarding energy metering systems
  • Order experience towards contractors and suppliers
  • Improvement work and developing scripts and automations
  • Have good experience of working in different IT systems and have easy to learn new systems

To thrive in the role of Metering Engineer with us, you are advantageously a structured person who enjoys working with others. You are self-driven on your way to set goals and you have no problem making decisions, as in this role you are expected to make trade-offs between different possible solutions and act on your own judgment. It is also important to be customer and service oriented in this role to be able to understand the customer's needs for different technical solutions. You have good communication skills and feel comfortable speaking and presenting in both internal and external contexts. In addition to this, you are fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing, equivalent knowledge of English is desirable.
