In Sweden, Vattenfall Värme supplies district heating, district cooling and steam to industries, property owners and residential customers in fifteen municipalities. We supply sustainable heating to around 200,000 Swedish households and heating, cooling and steam to industrial customers. We are actively working according to a clear plan to reduce fossil emissions in our cities, our own heat production and from our suppliers, with the goal of reaching net zero emissions by 2040. We are particularly proud that our main product, district heating, plays such an important role in the energy transition and the new circular society.

About the role

As a Mechanic/Technician with a supervisory role, you are part of a group of about 17 people consisting of maintenance engineers, mechanics, lubricators and vibration and bearing specialists. You will work closely with the maintenance engineer of the same site and together with the supervisors of the other sites you will distribute the work in a team with mechanics and hired subcontractors. You will also work closely with the operations organization.

In this role, you are responsible for incoming error messages and work orders in our maintenance system, as well as preparing and distributing the operational tasks. You will coordinate external resource reinforcements and participate in the emergency response organization. Your tasks include, in addition to the daily mechanical maintenance, continuously analyzing performed mechanical maintenance tasks and supporting maintenance engineers with maintenance plans when needed. Furthermore, you ensure that contractors comply with applicable agreements and during audits you are responsible for planning the measures to be carried out and ensuring that we have the right resources for the work.

Requirement specification

We are looking for you who have...

  • Completed upper secondary school degree, preferably in technology
  • Experience of working in a leading role.
  • Experience of working in the process, engineering or manufacturing industry with a focus on mechanical maintenance.
  • Experience working in maintenance systems.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, in speech and writing
  • B-driving license

It is meritorious if you also have...

  • Experience working with combustion systems
  • Limited electrical license

As a person, you have a structured way of working and a good ability to plan and distribute the work. You enjoy working with others, both in your own group and with other functions within the organization. You can navigate and work effectively even when the way forward is not entirely obvious and have the ability to get people working towards the same goal.
